I am into theatre and have acted and produced several plays. I love spending time with my two cats Poe and Perkins. I'm very Intune with my community and try to help out where I can. You have reached the projects, writing contributions, and freelance portion of my website. Here are just a few projects I've worked on during my academic career. Thank you.
Video Content:
In 2019, I co-edited video content for 71 Magazine to promote our #7For71 campaign for the San Antonio Fashion Awards. Our magazine company was vying for the Magazine of the Year Award, which we won the previous year. I had also been part of the campaign process for the nomination, which was our first one. This is the end result for one of the videos.
This video was edited in a Computer Literacy for Comm Arts in 2016. The video was a PSA for the San Antonio Food Banks, and it was one of my first video edits I had ever done in my undergraduate courses. I was very proud of my work. I only hope to get better.
This video was edited in the same Computer Literacy for Comm Arts in 2016. The project consisted of dividing a few songs among the class. Each student was given different pieces of dance footage scenes from various movies and a portion of a song. We were to edit the dance footage to the portion of song we were given, which would then become an entire video. This is my portion of the edits I did for the video. The song is "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5.
This video was shot in 2014 for a Television Production class I took at San Antonio College. This was a group effort project in which we had to come up with an idea of how we were going to film something while we had to show off the camera moves we learned. I came up with the idea of using a type of "Tonight Show" platform as a way to utilize what we knew. "What's Your Angle?" was born from that idea. We got the professor involved in our project. I was the Teleprompter for the project, which is why I am not seen in the video. Needless to say, it was a fun project.
Flyers:

In 2019, I was an editor for the university's Quirk Literary Arts Journal. This was an Editing and Publishing course I took to become a better editor. This was one of the earlier flyers I created to inform our audience that submissions were open for the journal.

That same time in 2019, I was part of the English club, INK. I was tasked that year to create a flyer for a "friendly debate" between two English professors. I created this flyer based on the information I was given. This was by far one of my favorite flyers I created.

In late September 2019, a friend and I were doing a live podcast at different Starbucks locations. I created the flyer for us to post on social media. We would post the flyers on our social media and tell everyone which location we would be at for the podcast. The premise of the podcast was to trade ghost stories for free coffee. It was a fun time, especially headed into October.
Design projects:

In the same Computer Literacy for Comm Arts Majors course in 2016, I created a magazine cover. The content could be anything we chose, so I chose to do a cover from one of my favorite shows at the time, "The Walking Dead." This was a treat for me, as I had never designed a magazine cover before, so it was fun to do this project. I utilized Adobe Photoshop to create the magazine look.
In 2017, I created a document for a Technical Writing course. The document was created from PowerPoint and printed and folded to look like an informative pamphlet. The topic was an informative one about the Rain Forest. I had never created a pamphlet out of PowerPoint before, so this was a nice, creative way to use PowerPoint. Please click on the paperclip to view the final product.
In October 2014, I did a radio project for an Announcing course I took at San Antonio College. The project was a radio interview. The class was divided into groups of two, and we each had to record a radio interview. One was the interviewer and the other was the interviewee. This was the very first radio interview I ever conducted. It was a foreshadow to future radio interviews I would do as a DJ for UIW's online radio station, KUIW.
